Like many, my journey into book writing and coaching was far from linear, but each experience has been invaluable. Before stepping into the world of coaching, I was an actress, and this experience gave me a unique understanding of character development, emotion, and motivation. I learned how to craft complex, believable characters that connect with audiences, and it’s a skill I’m passionate about sharing with my clients to help them breathe life into their own characters.

Acting also taught me about resilience and perseverance. With each audition that didn’t pan out and each role that slipped away, I became more determined to succeed. This resilience has been instrumental in my writing and coaching approach. Writing a book is a journey filled with self-doubt and challenges. My personal experience with overcoming obstacles means I get to inspire my clients to do the same.

One of the obstacles I faced early on was confidence. Like many creatives, I questioned my abilities. But I knew that confidence was key, both on the stage and on the page. I committed to cultivating a positive mindset, pushing past self-doubt, and embracing my capabilities. Today, I share this mindset with my clients, empowering them to believe in their unique voice and the stories they have to tell.

My coaching approach is a blend of my acting experience, writing expertise, and unwavering belief in the potential of my clients. I’m passionate about helping others navigate the path I once walked, from the seed of a story idea to the proud moment of holding a published book in their hands.

Most importantly, I want to be a beacon of inspiration for women. I know the literary world can sometimes seem like an uphill battle, but I firmly believe that every woman has the power to overcome these challenges and achieve her literary dreams. I’m committed to not only guiding women through the writing process but also fostering a supportive community where they can thrive.

I’m not just a book coachβ€”I’m a mentor, a cheerleader, a confidante. I am deeply committed to my clients’ success, sharing my knowledge, experience, and heart with them every step of the way. Through my unique blend of expertise, empathy, and empowerment, I help my clients turn their literary dreams into reality.

Outside of writing, I love days out with my family. We love exploring Scotland and all its beauty.

As big travellers, my husband and I have visited much of the world, and look forward to visiting more with our children. Hopefully, they will pick up our passion for exploring.Β Some of my favourite places include Indonesia, Laos, Bolivia and Peru.

Here are some fun facts about me:

πŸ’— I love genealogy and have spent too many hours geeking out on census returns, Trade Directories and Ship Passenger Lists.

πŸ’— I permanently borrowed a glass tumbler when I attended an event at Buckingham Palace – oops!

πŸ’— My life hack guru is Gretchen Rubin. She taught me I’m a Rebel – it explains so much!

πŸ’— The older I get, the more introvert I get.

πŸ’— I’m a “haggis curry” – 50% Scottish/50% Indian.

πŸ’— South East Asia is the mecca for motor scooters. After spending so much time there, I was determined to get my licence when I got back to the UK. I did get it, but only just. I struggled to go any faster than 15 mph, deemed slow enough to be a danger to other road users!
